iLEAP
The Inclusive Leadership Program (iLEAP) is a leadership program for young athletes regardless of background, gender, and abilities to become great leaders in the future. It is a project led by Tania Lee, MOiAS Vice President and IOC Young Leader 2021-2025.
We recognised that sport can be a catalyst in shaping the character, values and confidence in athletes and these elements are crucial to the growth and development of future leaders. Hence, this program is fully organized and conducted by athletes/ex-athletes and covers 4 main core modules that every leader should master, namely sport values, healthy living, life skills and social competency. We have also included special topics e.g. sharing session by Olympians and Paralympians, athletes safeguarding and climate action in sports. This program also ensures a minimum 30-40% participation of persons with disability and we also hope to achieve equal participation of female and male.
Since 2021, we’ve conducted 3 virtual iLEAP, 4 physical iLEAP in Kuala Lumpur, 1 physical iLEAP in Sarawak, 1 physical iLEAP in Penang and an international Inclusive Athletes Development Exchange Programme (iADEP) in Singapore.
